Here it is, the opinion of our third reviewer. Connie is the feminine voice of reason at movie night. Or is that voice of feminine reason? Whatever the case, here's what the girl thinks:

The Fast and the Furious (8) CS

• Rides (6)
• Authenticity (5): Street gangs, illegal races, suped-up rice rocket cars. I'd say that fits the scene. However, the details of how suped-up those cars are - that seems a little less believable. And the action sequences of jumping over things. And overall the action sequences are highly captivating and entertaining, but clearly something only in Hollywood.
• Flesh (9.5): Talking about flesh, you can't get fleshier than the super cute Paul Walker. Granted Van Diesel has super duper muscles that one can't take their eyes off of, but the lean and mean overall physique of Paul Walker is truly eye candy. And the gals... this is not normal, every day life viewing. Girls in super high heels with short skirts and abs of steel and DDs. Yeah. like that's realistic... but that's not this category, is it? The main supporting actress Jordana Brewster pulls off being super eye candy for the boys and not over the top slutty so the girls don't hate her. This movie has the fleshies all laid out to make every computer nerd wish they were a delinquent rice rocketer.
• One-Liners (-): I'm not good at recalling one-liners, so I'm taking a bye on this one.
• Action Sequences (9): Clearly Hollywood as I stated in Authenticity, however, highly entertaining. Like watching dynamite waiting to explode [Ed. Boom it goes]. Nothing else needs to be said. Good overall action, completely unbelievable.
• Star Power (9): Paul Walker, Van Diesel, Michelle Rodriquez, Jordana Brewster... nuff said.
  

Initial D (7) CS

• Rides (8): The tofu man turns a normal looking car into a super sports car? It's like every engineer's dream come true. Although it doesn't appeal as much as the flashier, fancier cars from other movies. But Initial D gets an eight here because it the ride authenticity is much greater. Souped up consumer cars. Haha get it? Soup up?
• Authenticity (9)
• Flesh (2): What flesh?
• One-Liners (8): The one liners are lost in translation- good thing I understand Cantonese. (But the movie is supposed to be in Japan!)
• Action Sequences (9.75): I was on edge the whole time hoping that the tofu or the cup of coffee didn' t spill.
• Star Power (-): No stars, but that's not to say they aren't stars in Asia. Apparently this movie is pretty pop in Asia, as I had seen it a few years back prior to our viewing.
  

Driven (6) CS

• Ride (9): Those sports cars are sweet! i want the red shiny one!
• Authenticity (3): Highly improbable, completely unlikely, but quite entertaining.
• Flesh (6): I'd say the driver boys had some cuteness to them. And I gotta give them points for throwing in a guy with an accent. No, not Stallone, but the brooding German one.
• One-Liners (3): None that really stood out, except for a few classic cheeseball lines about driving for yourself. It was attempted to be delivered in such sentiment that it was funny.
• Action Sequences (7): The action was persistent throughout most of the movie. Cars flipping and flying and burning. People dying or coming close to dying. Side swiping, bumpering. The standard action you would expect. How actual believeable they are? Well that's not this category, is it?
• Star Power (6): It had Stallone so that bumps it above the five mark. And the baby boy driver might have some future star image, maybe.

So the movie night leader board is:

1. The Fast and the Furious (8): Genre-defining, quotable, unreal.
2. Initial D (7): Cult, riveting, but give us some shine.
3. Driven (5): Succeeded in everything unrelated to cars.
