Car headlight HID Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4

I spent the week prepping the garage for the annual Super Bowl party. The walls are now dark green as planned, with some brick red. The ceiling is still white so it's by no means cave-like, but the green adds flavor.

The other major task was to troubleshoot a mysterious 120v appearing on a neutral line. It disappeared when I disconnected a nasty old switch, not that that makes any sense since it should be hot-to-load (x2, since it was a double switch).

The garage was good for watching the game. There may be some photos from it, but I didn't take any on account of loaning my memory card to Bobby after shooting the GBM show. And since my point-and-shoot cannot do it justice, photos of the Medieval Gridiron championship trophy - awarded at the party - are also forthcoming.

Since the 3000gt had a headlight out I upgraded it to hids. The lamp on the Duc has been excellent, and I am not disappointed with these.

The left/right comparison images show the brightness and hue change. It looks like I'm going to have to do leds on the indicators to match the whiter tone.

The Mystery Misfire

The dreaded P0171 code... If you've experienced it, just the mention likely gives you nightmares. If not - here's the rundown. P0171 is the automotive On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) code1 for a lean condition on the engine. If the engine is running lean, it simply means that the air to fuel ratio is not optimized, and there's either too much air or not enough fuel. Before I get too far ahead here, let's set the scene.
