The usual drive. Jes accompanied on the way up but had to fly back for work. We stopped for a night in Burbank and did a meal with her family.
She made sure Kafka was festive. Norcal was usual pleasant holiday: food, board games, family, friends...
... and lovers - in a dangerous spacetime, that is. I brought the PS4, so we got a little co-op gaming in.
Since Pops had worked so hard on the water heater, I pitched in on the deck effort. After a couple hours Kafka was able to take his usual spot in the sun.
New Year's
Kept it pretty low key. Went to Ryan's to play some board games and hang out in their delivery hot tub.
